Hi there, we’re so glad that you’ve made it here! At kåta, we LOVE doing wedding and event photography. Tim is an experienced wedding photographer based in Canterbury, Kent, who offers a variety of packages including photography only packages, as well as hybrid coverage packages. Tim’s approach is very relaxed and is primarily photo-journalistic documentary coverage, so there will be very little posing and lots of candid moments captured throughout the day. What is hybrid coverage?
Hybrid coverage is a blend of photography and videography coverage for your wedding or event. Basically, I’m primarily a photographer so will always prioritise that for the one time only events (first kiss etc.) but will also be capturing lots of candid video moments throughout the day which will then be edited together to give you not only a full gallery of beautiful wedding pictures, but also a 2-3 minute video put to music of lovely moments from your day. In all honesty, you won’t even be aware that video is being captured as it is all done on the same camera that is used for the photos, so there won’t be any extra equipment needed such as mics or lights making it all as discreet as possible and allowing to just focus on enjoying your big day.
Do you travel?
Although I’m based in Canterbury, Kent, I’m more than happy to travel to shoot weddings. Depending on the distance, if overnight accommodation is required, I have a campervan and am more than happy to stay in that, meaning any additional charges for my accommodation are kept to a minimum and is usually just the cost of a pitch and a bit of mileage.
What if we love the packages but it’s a bit expensive?
The prices up here are more to give you a guideline as it’s so annoying if you have absolutely no idea how much something costs. I’m always happy to chat through bits and see if we can wiggle the costings to make it as affordable as possible, whilst still giving you the coverage of your day that you want. Do we need a second photographer?
The decision around how many photographers you need is really down to personal preference and the coverage you want. If your wedding is spread over multiple venues throughout the day, then having a second photographer can be really handy. An example of when this would be recommended, is if you wanted bridal prep photos as well as some groom prep/groomsmen photos, but those are happening at two different locations. If a second photographer is wanted, I can sort that out as I have a bank of photographers that I know and have worked with and can arrange for them to come along.
What’s included in the packages?
Wedding Photography Packages
All photography packages come with a FREE engagement shoot. If you’re not sure about whether you want to hire me or would just like to get to know me better and how I work a little more, book in a free engagement shoot and there will be no pressure to hire me for your wedding day whatsoever. If you decide, after seeing the images, that you do want to hire me - awesome, but if you don’t, there will be zero hard-feelings and you’ll have a gallery of lovely images to keep anyway - there’s no losing with that offer.
The Snapshot
This package is ideal for Elopement/Micro-Wedding style days. These days will typically be short in the coverage and will usually be up to around 3 hours of coverage.

Price for Photography Coverage - £500
The Lone Ranger
If you only need one photographer, then this is the ideal package for you. This is full coverage of your day, from bridal prep to dancefloor action. The price quoted here is assuming you want full coverage of your day, but this can be tailored to suit your needs (e.g. if you didn’t want bridal prep photos, then my day would be a little shorter and so the price would come down a little).

Price for Photography Coverage - £900
Price for Hybrid Coverage - £1250
The Dynamic Duo
This is basically the same as The Lone Ranger Package, but there’s two of us. Two photographers can bring many benefits. If you are going for the hybrid package, then those once only moments like the first kiss (the I will always prioritise photographing over videoing) can be captured in both photo and video form. Extra moments can be captured, for example when I’m doing the family formals, my second photographer can be capturing all those nice candid moments going on that I can’t get because I’m doing the other photos (I’m good, but I’m not good enough to be in two places at once). This will also be the case when we go off for the couple portraits. This package is also ideal if both of you are getting ready in two completely different places. If you’re both at the same venue then that’s fine, but if one of you is getting ready at one house and the other is in a different house, then capturing preparations and getting venue shots can be very sweaty work on my own so having a second photographer is definitely preferable in those circumstances.
